Shadows & Still Life
Foundational Drawing Workshop for Creative Teens
For Ages 10–16 | Friday, 11 July 2025 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 A Little Bite Studio, Wentworth Point | Creative Kids Vouchers Accepted
Sketching offers so much more than just drawing—it builds patience, confidence, and the ability to see the world in a whole new way.
In this calm, skill-building workshop, teens will learn the foundations of realistic drawing, with a focus on light, shadow, and pencil control. We’ll guide students through thoughtful exercises that teach how to build form with shading, understand tonal contrast, and use pressure to create depth and softness.
Using real-life objects in still life setups, students will practise careful observation and create artwork that explores shape, light direction, texture, and negative space. Along the way, they’ll develop techniques like blending, smudging, layering, and using erasers to draw light as well as shadow.
This workshop is ideal for young artists who love detail, want to strengthen their technical drawing skills, or are just beginning their journey with graphite and charcoal in a relaxed and supportive studio space.
✅ What’s Included:
Drawing-based art class with individual guidance
All materials provided (graphite, charcoal, sketch paper, blending tools)
Small group size for focus and feedback
Supervised lunch break
Drop-off friendly (ages 10+)
NSW Creative Kids vouchers accepted
