 Our kids workshops

What workshop should I enrol my child in if they are 8 years old?

Great question. Little Creatives is for ages 5-8, and Super Creatives is for ages 8-12. Little Creatives is designed for students to explore and have fun, while Super Creatives relies more on technical drawing and focus. If your child has never taken art classes before, we highly recommend Little Creatives to begin with.

Your holiday workshops are advertised for ages 5-12 years of age. How do you accommodate the different ages and skill levels?

Great question. Our holiday class sees your child work independently at their own pace and on their own tasks. Every workshop is also run by 2 experienced hosts so we can truly respond to individual needs and questions.

My child hasn’t turned 5 yet. Can they attend your holiday art classes?

Unfortunately not. Our holiday workshops are quite intense, and require your child to focus for 2 hours. We recommend starting with a Mini Creatives class so they can experience our classes specifically designed for pre-school children.

Do you teach children with special needs?

Unfortunately, we don’t have the required resources to make this happen. We believe it is best that you find a teacher who is qualified and skilled to teach and assist kids with special needs.

What does my child need to bring & wear to the workshops?

Please bring a drink bottle, and make sure your child goes to the bathroom before the class. We provide aprons to protect your child’s clothes from paint, but it’s best to wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. We also recommend closed-toed shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

When should my child arrive for the class?

We recommend arriving 5 minutes before class.

How long do you hold onto my child’s artwork?

Due to limited storage space, we hold on to your child’s artwork for 4 weeks. After that, all artworks will be disposed of. We highly recommend setting yourself a regular reminder to pick up any artwork.

Enrolment & cancellation

Can I enrol in the middle of a term?

Do you have parking?

There is ample free parking near the studio.

Do you host private events or parties?

Yes, we sure do.

Do you participate in art competitions?

Absolutely! We start the year by creating artwork for Young Archie and get our students involved in local & international art competitions throughout the year.

My child is interested in a career in the creative industry. Do you have any resources you can recommend?

Yes, most definitely. Our Founder, Mrs Grace is a Sydney-based Illustrator and will happily guide your child to design their dream portfolio & create connections in the creative industry. Our studio offers many job/work experiences from pop-up workshops, live illustrations, art exhibitions and art parties that your child can experience firsthand too (when they are ready, of course).
