Urban Sketch Explorers
For Ages 10–16 | Friday, 18 July 2025 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 A Little Bite Studio, Wentworth Point | 🎟 Creative Kids Vouchers Accepted
Designed especially for older kids and teens, this workshop is all about stepping out into the real world with a sketchbook in hand—and learning how to draw it.
In Urban Sketch Explorers, we’ll begin the day in the studio with a relaxed warm-up and an introduction to essential sketching techniques—how to choose a scene, frame a composition, and work with graphite, ink, and watercolour pencil. Then, we’ll head outside for a fully supervised walk through The Piazza at Wentworth Point, where students will observe and sketch from life, surrounded by beautiful urban spaces, nature, and local architecture.
Throughout the day, teens will practise:
Quick observational studies and longer sketch sessions
Using line work, layering, shading, and washes to add life to their drawings
Creating mood and movement through their mark-making
Developing their unique sketching style, with individual guidance from our artist mentors
We’ll finish back at the studio with a relaxed sketchbook reflection, sharing ideas and celebrating the diversity of each artist’s view of the world.
✅ What’s Included:
Personal sketchbook to keep
All art materials (ink pens, graphite, watercolour pencils)
Supervised outdoor drawing walk around The Piazza
Artist-led guidance tailored to ages 10–16
Drop-off friendly & supportive environment
NSW Creative Kids vouchers accepted
🌿 A grounding, expressive and empowering school holiday art experience in Sydney—made just for creative teens ready to sketch their world.
📖 Spots are limited – book now to save with the early bird offer and let your teen explore their creativity one sketch at a time.
