Inspired by Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox, this full-day art adventure invites kids into a clever, cheeky world of tunnels, secret plans and unforgettable characters. We use the book as a starting spark, then give kids the freedom to imagine their own worlds, creatures and stories.
This workshop isn’t about copying the book. It’s about capturing its spirit: wit, bravery, teamwork and outsmarting the odds.
• Invent their own clever hero, animal or underground dweller
• Design secret tunnel systems, hideouts and escape routes inspired by the story
• Draw expressive characters with bold movement and strong personality
• Create maps showing underground worlds, hidden spaces and clever plans
• Sculpt a character, animal or imagined creature in clay
• Share ideas and stories for those who enjoy talking about their work
• A detailed illustrated or mixed-media artwork
• A sculpted character or creature
• Sketches, maps and creative experiments
• New confidence in turning ideas into finished artwork
• Appeals to builders, thinkers, storytellers and hands-on makers
