WHO IS SARAH, WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I'm Sarah, I'm 31 years old, a Sagittarius, Mumma of 2 babies under 2 Finnley & Indie Lane, wife, business owner and flower lover. I’m located in Penrith NSW
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I'm a florist. I create magical blooms for Weddings & special events, specialising in Everlasting arrangements, retail flower installations, wall art & all this pretty.
HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT YOUR CREATIVE PASSION?
I loved flowers from a very young age, I guess like most little girls. I always flowered special family events and absolutely loved it. I started my business way back in 2016 but had a little break to start my family, I then started my business back up in 2020. I always tell people when they ask me why flowers? "I feel like this is what I was born to do" It's something that's unexplainable, it makes my soul happy!

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
I'm so lucky I get to work with flowers every day which is my main source of inspiration. I'm also inspired by other business women following their dreams, manifesting their goals, running a business, doing all the things we don't see as followers BTS.

WHO ARE YOUR CLIENTS AND WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING PROJECT YOU HAVE DONE?
I work with a lot of local Penrith businesses, creating Everlasting blooms for their offices or retail spaces, always customising blooms to align with their business which is always unique and never replicated. I work with a lot of brides to be planning their bridal showers etc and wedding flowers.
The most interesting project I've been a part of was a Styled shoot back in Dec 2020 at Curraweena House in the Hawkesbury. I had the opportunity to work with some of the best location vendors. I created a full circular palm arbour which was a concept from the shoot planner Sharnez from Sweetnesscakes. We both hadn’t seen this done before in Australia, only in the USA. I was extremely proud of this creation.
WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED AS A FLORIST?
I face challenges on a daily basis. It's really hard and time consuming working out all the logistics BTS for Weddings and Events. Working out how I will suspend a 10kg flower installation from a roof that doesn't hold much weight is challenging.
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR TOP TIP FOR CHILDREN WHO WANT TO BECOME LIKE YOU ONE DAY?
Follow your dreams, work hard, never be scared to ask for help and be true to who you are and what you like.
WHAT EXCITING PLANS DO YOU HAVE FOR 2021 / 2022 ?
I have a big end of 2021 with some gorgeous weddings, I will be hosting more Everlasting Workshops. We have a website in the works, to make booking in with me easier and faster & a beautiful new flower studio for private classes, bridal consultations. For 2022 my dream is to solely focus on flowering Weddings full time and revisit a few shop opportunities that have come our way!
