A supportive art class where skills and confidence grow together

Little Creatives is our foundational art program for children aged 5 to 8. These early primary years are a key stage for building fine motor skills, problem solving and creative confidence, so each project is designed to guide children step by step while still leaving room for personal expression.

Students learn real drawing and painting techniques in a warm, encouraging environment that helps them feel capable and proud of what they create. Families from Wentworth Point, Rhodes, Sydney Olympic Park and Homebush choose Little Creatives for its balance of structure, creativity and genuine care.

FAQ for Little Creatives (Ages 5-7)

Q: Why should my child take art classes? What are the benefits at this age?

A: Art classes offer numerous benefits for children at this age. They provide a creative outlet for self-expression, allowing children to explore their thoughts, emotions, and ideas in a safe and supportive environment. Additionally, art helps develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence—all essential for academic success and lifelong learning.

Q: How long are the classes, and how often do they occur?

A: Classes typically run for around 60 minutes, with scheduling options available to suit your convenience, whether it's once a week or more frequently.

Q: Will my child receive individual attention in the group setting?

A: Despite being in a group setting, your child will receive personalized attention and guidance from experienced instructors, ensuring their unique talents and interests are nurtured.

Q: What materials will my child need for the program?

A: We provide all necessary art supplies and materials for the activities.

Q: How can I track my child's progress in the program?

A: Our instructors regularly update parents on their child's progress and achievements throughout the program.

Q: Is there a exhibition at the end of the program?

A: Occasional showcases and exhibitions allow children to display their artwork to family and friends, providing a fantastic opportunity for them to share their creativity and accomplishments.

Q: How do I enrol my child in the Little Creatives program?

A: Enrolling your child is simple—just get in touch with us through our website or by phone to discuss availability and registration details.

Q: Can siblings with age gaps enroll together in programs?

A: No, unfortunately, siblings with big age gaps cannot enrol together in programs. Each program is specifically tailored to the developmental stage and artistic needs of children within their respective age groups.

Q: My child is advanced among their peers. Can we move them up to an older age group?

A: If your child is advanced among their peers, we're open to discussing the possibility of moving them up to an older age group. We understand the importance of nurturing their talents and ensuring they are appropriately challenged, and we'll work with you to explore the available options.

Q: Do you offer art therapy?

A: While we don't offer art therapy, our supportive and nurturing environment can help shy children feel more comfortable over time.

Q: My child is shy. What can I do to help them feel more comfortable in your classes?

A: Encouraging them to participate at their own pace and providing positive reinforcement, along with one-on-one time with the tutor outside the group class, can help ease them into the learning experience. We aim to provide a comfortable and inclusive environment for all children, regardless of their temperament or challenges they may face.

Q. My child is passionate about art but struggles with perfectionism. How do you address this?

A. Perfectionism can be a common challenge among young artists, and we approach it with empathy and understanding. Our instructors create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth and experimentation. We encourage students to embrace the creative process, focus on self-expression, and celebrate their unique artistic voice rather than striving for perfection.

Q. What additional support do you have for children who may struggle with shyness or social anxiety?

A. For children with social anxiety, we offer the option of spending one-on-one time with the tutor outside the group class to become more familiar with the tutor and the environment they are in. Once they are ready, we will create a plan to ease them into the group class gradually. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and inclusive learning experience for all children, regardless of their temperament or challenges they may face.
