Why Choose A little bite studio?

When you decide to let your child explore their creativity and imagination with art lessons, the first question is ‘what art studio to choose?’ There are several factors to consider, but if you’re asking about our studio A little bite, we can tell you exactly why. We see art as an essential tool for self-expression and the well-being of kids, helping them to develop a sense of identity and build up their confidence. Read on to see what makes our art classes unique and something that your child will look forward to every week!

Firstly, the studio wouldn’t be what it is today without the creativity and guidance of founder Grace Choi. Let’s meet your teacher Mrs Grace, a practicing illustrator and artist (view here). After completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Grace went on to follow her dream of being a full-time artist specialising in watercolour and line drawing. With a unique style and eight years of experience, Grace has found success in live event illustrations and commissions for brands including Westfield, Caroline Herrera and Harper’s BAZAAR. After having her son Aiden, Grace uncovered a passion for encouraging kids to express their own unique voice and explore their curiosity through the world of art. Underpinned by Grace’s vision that art is for EVERYONE and that creativity is a pathway to connection, A little bite studio was started. Our studio has continued to grow, bringing in teachers that are currently studying and working in the creative space, enabling our students to be inspired by up and coming talented artists.

If you spend some time with us, you’ll soon realise that we do things a little differently here. We don’t just teach students how to make art, we raise creative thinkers. The creative process is a valued foundation of all classes. Students are encouraged to choose their own materials, collaborate with their peers to design projects and have the opportunity to display artworks in our annual exhibition. With a mix of theory and hands-on practice, children will learn about the world around them from famous artists and artworks to different mediums like charcoal, oil pastels, acrylics and more. Our studio provides an inclusive environment for students to develop critical thinking, express themselves and most importantly have fun!

Another skill that all our budding artists are taught is to talk and share about their art. With guidance from their teacher, students are encouraged to communicate their story behind the artwork – whether it be a favourite colour they have chosen to feature or a special interest in the subject matter. We love hearing from our little ones and the stories that make them so unique. In art classes for children aged five and over, we also touch on art history and movements to open their eyes to the world of art and gain an appreciation for each era.

So, are you ready to let your child dive into a world of colour where endless possibilities of art await?
